# Second edition of this event for NCAA Division I schools. It was first played in 2014 at Xavier with four women's teams (Nevada, Oregon State, Southern Illinois, Toledo).
# Men's division will use traditional tournament format with a championship and third-place game. Women's division has predetermined pairings. Every team in the event will play twice.
# Three of the four women's teams -- Dayton, Michigan State and South Florida -- qualified for the 2017 NCAA Tournament.
# Of the eight teams, only South Florida's women are ranked (19th USA Today, 22nd Associated Press). The Bulls opened their season with a 61-55 home victory Nov. 10 against LSU.
# Dayton's second win of the season was 71-65 Nov. 11 against Tulane in the Maine Tip-Off Tournament.
# Leading women's scorer entering the tournament: South Florida guard Kitija Laksa (6-foot junior from Riga, Latvia, 23.0 points per game).
# Leading men's scorer entering the tournament: Fort Wayne guard Bryson Scott (6-1 senior from Fort Wayne, Ind., 23.0 points per game).
# Tickets: $20 per day.
